JEM Leader Spotlight – Marcos Martinez

Aquatics has been a part of my life for quite a while, to be honest. My dad, who has spent 40 years in the industry, had my brother and me at water parks every summer.
I always thought the lifeguards were super cool and fun to interact with as a kid.

𝗝𝗘𝗠 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 – Taylor Sumerix

Growing up, like many in the Midwest, I spent every summer trying to get to any of the Great Lakes’ many beautiful beaches, the numerous lakes and rivers in Michigan, and of course, any pool or waterpark I could visit—which was always extra special. Being around water was a fundamental part of my childhood experience.

Traveling with JEM

I was first trained as a lifeguard via Red Cross, as that’s what my high school offered. So, when I was hired by JEM, I only needed to attend the second day of guard class since I was considered a renewal.
