FAQ

Do I need previous lifeguard experience or acquire a lifeguard certification before I apply?

Not at all! We train all new applicants through the International Lifeguard Training Program™ by Ellis & Associates. If you already have an E&A license, we may still put you through a class, depending on how recent your last lifeguard training was.

How strong of a swimmer do I need to be to become a lifeguard?

You will be required to have basic swimming skills such as front crawl (freestyle) and/or breaststroke. Before you start our class, we will have you do a swimming test. We simply want to make sure you have the stamina and confidence in the water to be able to swim to a rescue and back as quickly and safely as possible.

How many hours do I need to work per week?

We are flexible with scheduling! You could work as few as a few shifts a week or work 40+ hours per week, depending on what you choose and our staffing needs.
